> I chose 1998 because it feels like a real crossroads in electronic music. Minimal techno was becoming more radical, electro was being revived and reshaped, and glitch, dub, IDM and early electroclash ideas were starting to overlap. Many of the records I value most sit exactly between older machine-music traditions and sounds that would become much more important in the years that followed.
